SMD IC DESIGN COMPETITION 2025 by Sarawak Microelectronics Design (SMD), is a 14 months competition tailored for universities across Sarawak. This event focuses on unraveling the intricacies of low power amplifier circuit design - a fundamental skill for aspiring chip designers.

SMD IC Design Competition Bootcamp 2025 (19 - 23 May 2025)

We proudly launches the SMD IC Design Competition 2025, a 14-month challenge designed to equip university students across Sarawak with in-depth expertise in low power amplifier circuit design; a crucial skill for future innovators in microelectronics.

The competition begins with an immersive boot camp, where participants gain first-hand industry insights into IC design. Under the guidance of a seasoned professional with 25 years of experience, students from UNIMAS, University Technology Sarawak, Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak, and Curtin University Malaysia will receive hands-on mentorship, preparing them for real-world challenges in semiconductor engineering.
